Located in the outskirts of Cangas de Onis, on the green banks of the River Sella, the Parador de Cangas de Onis is housed in a hisriotcal Monastery of San Pedro de Villanueva from 12th to 18th centuries. In the hotel guests will admire 2 rooms displaying archaeological remains found during refurbishment work. You will see historical ceramics from the past of the monastery. The Monastery was declared a National Monument in 1907.
A new wing added using building materials to match the original and the monastery was converted into a luxury hotel with modern and comfortable facilities. The Parador is an excellent starting point to discover the wonders of Asturian landscape. In the hotel’s restaurant guests will savor the most genuine dishes from the rich local cuisine.

Location

The Parador is located in the outskirts of the city of Cangas de Onis, on the right bank of the River Sella, 2 km away from Cangas de Onis. The main access is road N 634 (Oviedo - Santander). From Arriondas, road N 625 serves as the connection to the region of Castilla y Leon. The road AS 114 connects Cangas de Onis to eastern Asturias as well as western Cantabria. From the hotel you will be able to reach many wonders: the Picos de Europa range of mountains, Covadonga mountain, and the River Sella (which bathes the Parador itself).
