Less than an hour's drive from Cordoba, through the picturesque valley of the Guadalquivir, is the small farming town of Palma del Rio and the delightful Monasterio De San Francisco Hotel. The hotel is housed in a 15th century monastery with its shady cloisters, ecclesiastical courtyards and elegantly laid out gardens where guests will find a wonderful serene atmosphere, peace and tranquility.
The building was constructed in 1492 and completely renovated in 2006.

Guests will dine in a historic restaurant serving fine Andalusian and mediterranean cuisine. In summer season dinner is served outside in the magnificent inner courtyards, illumianted with candlelights.
High quality dishes are prepard using fresh organic products cultivated in the hotel's garden.

The hotel has a large bar area for our guests, open all day long. Here you can have a variety of drinks, teas and coffees, sandwiches and pastries. This cosy area is perfect for informal meetings, reading or simply relaxing.

Like in a traditional Andalusian house, the hotel has inner courtyards filled with greenery where guests can relax.

The Monasterio De San Francisco Hotel  features 35 rooms equipped with a private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, and air conditioning. Some rooms have a Jacuzzi, Many of the bedrooms, surrounding a charming patio, are original the monks' cells converted into elegant guest rooms.
