Installed in an Arabic citadel, which was constructed on a Roman settlement, the impressive castle housing now the Parador de Siguenza hotel, was built from the year 1123 onwards, and was the residence of bishops, cardinals and kings. It is in an excellent location to enjoy the historic town of Siguenza, close to beautiful natural spaces.

Location

The Castle of Sigüenza dominates over the Siguenza town. It can be reached easily from Madrid and Zaragoza along the N-II. At km 104 we turn off along the local road, 20 km from Sigüenza; or else, at km 119, at the turning for the Valle de Pelegrina, 12 km from Sigüenza, or at 136, at the turning for Alcolea, 18 km from Sigüenza. The Parador is located 75 km away from Guadalajara, the capital of the province.
