Located in Mrabella, the RIO REAL GOLF & WELLNESS RESORT is a charming boutique hotel, that offers top quality services. You will find here a refined luxury golf experience. The hotel’s interiors were created by the renowned Spanish interior designer, Pascua Ortega.
Rio Real Restaurant is the resort’s fine dining restaurant, also designed by Pascua Ortega, with panoramic windows overlooking the course. Refined and creative Mediterranean-International haute cuisine and regional specialities are served either inside the restaurant, which has floor to ceiling windows, or al fresco, overlooking the golf course.
Dishes include rice broth with lobster, risotto of monkfish, black pasta with giant red prawns, and the roast leg of Castilian lamb. The restaurant is complimented by a wine cellar offering some of the finest Spanish and International wines in the world. The restaurant opens exclusively for groups and it is necessary to book in advance.
The Golf Club Lounge and Club de Golf Bar serves afternoon tea, and light meals and snacks throughout the day. Guests may also enjoy a relaxing pre- or post-dinner drink. Opened everyday from 07.30 am until 22.00 pm.
Opened in 1965 and located on gently rolling terrain, the 18 hole, par 72 golf course was designed by Javier Arana. Major
renovation work has recently been undertaken and included the replanting of fairways, new greens, enlargement of buggy paths, and refurbishment to the clubhouse and its facilities. The course is considered to be one of the top three on the Costa del Sol, where there are more than 40 courses.
The Hotel features 29 modern and comfortable rooms and suites with modern décor. Guests will admire spectacular views of the green golf courses set between the Sierra Blanca and the glistening Mediterranean Sea. All rooms are furnished with exclusive furniture, carefully selected fabrics and feature private terraces. Beds feature 300 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.
Eagle Suites have been exclusively designed in a New York loft style, with open spaces, bathroom concealed behind translucent doors and a hydro massage bath with views over the golf course.
The Albatros Suite is the resort’s top suite, measuring over 100 square metres and boasting unbeatable views of the golf course from a large terrace. Combining natural materials and antiques, the suite has been uniquely designed as a tribute to Haute Couture.
