In the middle of the orchard of La Vera, among ravines of water, natural pools, chestnut and oak woods, and featuring a natural scenery of rare beauty, the Parador de Jarandilla de la Vera is a quiet and beautiful place where you can relax and explore the historical heritage of the area. The most outstanding exterior features include the turrets, the parade ground, an excellent swimming-pool, and tennis court in a beautiful garden featuring olive and orange trees. Inside, you will find halls with fireplaces, a bar, restaurant, and the recently redecorated rooms, which provide an intimate, and peaceful atmosphere.
Each room has a telephone, cable TV, heating, air-conditioning, mini-bar, and safe deposit box.
In the restaurant you can taste "migas extremenas" (fried breadcrumbs), potato soup, partridge stew, "lomitos de cordero a la miel de la dehesa" (lamb ribs in honey), and La Vera fig compote, which are only some of the dishes that stand out among the varied fare to be found in the Extremadurian cuisine.
