The hotel is installed in the beautiful Barreda-Bracho ancestral home, in the square of Santillana del Mar, a town declared a National Monument, whose origins go back to the 8th century. The main entrance precedes diaphanous, friendly rooms, with wooden floors and traditional decoration for the furniture as well as ornamental details.
The hotel offers very comfortable 28 guest rooms. All of them have a telephone, cable TV, heating, air-conditioning, mini-bar, and safe deposit box. Some of them also feature chimneys and offer a beautiful pastoral, and rural picture.
The dining room serves highland specialties, such as Liébana stews, prime beef sirloin "a la plancha", salmon stuffed with smoked meat, hake from the Bay of Biscay on green asparagus, the famous "sorropotún" (fish and vegetable stew), and the typical dessert "quesada pasiega".
Guests can also enjoy a sauna and a bar with a selection of the best wines of the region. Other hotel amenities include a lift, garage, and parking. Pets are not allowed.

Location

The hotel is located at the main place of Santillana del Mar, where the most characteristically buildings of the municipality are also located: Torre de Don Borja, Casa del Aguila y la Parra, Torre de Merino, and the City Hall. The access road is from the Santander-Comillas cross street on a paved street for hardly 100 meters.
Santillana is located 24 km away from Santander, the capital of the province.
