The hotel occupies a 12th century former hospital next to the cathedral. It was built by Saint Dominic to give shelter to the pilgrims on the Road to Santiago. In a regal and elegant style, it has majestic living rooms and a lobby with Gothic arches and wooden ceilings. Noble materials and bright colors - blues and whites - lead to comfortable bedrooms, decorated with exquisite taste.
In each of its 61 guest rooms guests will find a telephone, cable TV, heating, air-conditioning, mini-bar, and safe deposit box.
In the restaurant it is possible to sample stuffed "piquillo" peppers, "bacalao a la riojana" (cod), and vegetable stew from La Ribera, in addition to the excellent wines of La Rioja. Other hotel features include a bar, sauna, gym, lift, garage, parking, and a conference room equipped with TV sockets, air-conditioning, slide projector with remote control, video, loudspeakers, screens, microphones, and overhead projectors. The hotel is suitable for guests with physical disabilities. Pets are not allowed.

Location

The hotel can be found in the old quarter of the town, in the Plaza del Santo, next to the cathedral.
Santo Domingo de la Calzada is 46 km away from Logroņo, 68 km away from Burgos along the N-120, and 18 km away from Haro, with easy access to the A-68 motorway, connecting Zaragoza and Bilbao.
